The Montgomery AFCEA Chapter Education Foundation will host its annual scholarship luncheon at the Renaissance Hotel and Conference Center on Tuesday, 21 May 2024. The Chapter’s Education Foundation will take this time to formally recognize the achievements of local River Region students and STEM instructors receiving High School Information Technology Internship Program (ITIP) awards and “Education For Industry” scholarships. Providing scholarships and internship opportunities for local, hard-working students is only a portion of the Education Foundation’s outreach efforts to promote STEM education in the community—the Chapter also continuously provides support via Robotics donations to the Wetumpka Robotics Program and the growing Macon County Robotics Program. Additionally, the Chapter works to support local schools within Montgomery and Macon counties via Chapter Initiative Grants and Science Teaching Tools Grants. The Education Foundation will take time during the luncheon to recognize the generosity of corporate donors that make such education outreach efforts possible. We welcome you to attend the Montgomery AFCEA Chapter Education Foundation Annual Luncheon to hear more about how industry’s donations support the local community in fostering IT into the education of today’s youth.
