We are seeking government and industry volunteers to speak to students about software development, cyber security, or cyber defense.  We also need volunteers to host “an hour of code” session using tools provided by code.org. 

If you are interested, please sign up and we will reach out to discuss specifics.

Montgomery’s National Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) Dec 2nd – 13th

Montgomery will participate in National Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) activities from Dec 2nd – 13th.  This is an annual program dedicated to inspiring K-12 students to take interest in computer science.  The program is held annually in recognition of the birthday of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper (December 9, 1906).

Schools participating in Montgomery’s CSEdWeek program are: 

Highland Gardens Elementary School, Park Crossing High School, Brewbaker Technology Magnet High, Jefferson Davis High School, Martin Luther King Elementary School, Capitol Heights Middle School, Flowers Elementary School, Carver Senior High School, Southlawn Elementary School, Morris Elementary School, Bear Exploration Center (K-5) and Trenholm State Community College.
